Scholls Valley Native Nursery is excited to announce the availability of our bulk native bulbs and our native bulb planting guide. Native flowering bulbs of the Willamette Valley offer not only benefits for pollinators but an opportunity to paint the landscape with broad swaths of color while at the same time limiting the need for supplemental summer watering.
There are infinite ways to incorporate prairie bulbs into restoration and traditional landscapes by adjusting patch size and bulb density. On large sites, practitioners can now reintroduce these rare lilies for as little as $100 to $200 per acre. For intensive landscaping, our new bulk bulb pricing makes gorgeous native lilies a logical choice for beautiful spring borders that support bees and butterflies, at a cost that is competitive with crocuses, tulips and other traditional fall bulbs.
Because native bulbs spend the winter developing roots before sending up their flower stalks in the spring and summer, these bulbs benefit from being planted in the fall. For that reason, we will have these bulbs available for a limited time only.
